Wow, right now we are having some absolute perfect beach weather. Check out those beach webcams… the sun… the surf… can’t you just smell the ocean?

I’m counting down right now… seven weeks ’till I get my vacation. Wanna take bets on how long I can hold out?

The car, of course, is one of the thousands of classics that will be on display at the always-fabulous Cruisin’ festival scheduled this year for May 17-20. The festival also highlights classic rock, this year featuring the Temptations.

I have to say I always get excited about waiting to see what people will come up with at the annual Sandcastle Contest. Every year I’m so impressed by the creativity. How much creativity, you ask? Well, I’ve seen sandcastles that look like people, animals, famous works of art, and every architectural design you can imagine — plus fun stuff like a sandcastle shaped like a turtle. Go terps!

The contest is on June 9th, or the 10th if it rains. Don’t miss it!
