Well, what are you waiting for?

Time is running out to get your Sunfest tickets — the headliner, Wayne Newton, has already sold out, but you can still score tickets for the Fabulous Hubcaps, Josh Gracin, or Heartland. The festival runs from September 20-23 and will feature a little something for everyone.

Not familiar with the marquee names? In case you feel like giving them a chance; here’s my roundup of the event’s biggest stars:
Josh Gracin will definitely be a big hit with the teen-girl crowd; he has the advantages of being very good-looking, by all impressions a nice guy, and a former American Idol contestant. After getting voted off the show, Josh was deployed to Iraq as a Marine, but is now back in the states raising two kids and  recording country albums with the Lyric Street label.

Heartland is a popular country group from Alabama, known for their 2006 single “I Loved Her First.” Their influences place them firmly in the tradition of 1980s and ’90s country like Garth Brooks and Keith Urban, mixing down-home pride with a touch of humor.

The Hubcaps are a crowd-pleasing favorite, performing classics from the 1950s and 60s for family audiences. Personally, I’m impressed by anyone who’s willing to follow acts like Little Richard and Buddy Holly, let alone who succeeds.
