Seacrets Distilling Company Awarded Gold Medal at 2024 ADI Spirits Competition

Hayward, CA – Seacrets Distilling Company proudly earned a Gold Medal for Bourbon Whiskey at the 2024 American Distilling Institute Spirits Competition. SDC also earned Bronze medals for its’ Double Barreled Spiced Rum & American Whiskey.

The American Distilling Institute (ADI) is the oldest and largest trade association dedicated to craft distilling in the world. Founded in 2003, ADI has become a beacon for the craft distilling community, providing their global network of small-batch, independently-owned distillers with a go-to source for any and all information on their craft. The judging panel is made up of over 50 distinct members who all have a knowledge of spirits that is unmatched to anyone else. The spirits are judged blindly so that is deemed fair, equal and without bias.

These are the second awards earned for Seacrets Bourbon and Whiskey and the first earned for Seacrets Distilling Co. Double Barreled Spiced Rum. These awards represent the 47th overall award earned by the small batch, handcraft distillery since its opening in June 2016. Seacrets Bourbon Whiskey is fermented and distilled completely in house from local GMO-free corn sourced from a family farm in Berlin, MD and malted rye from Laurel, DE. The winning Bourbon was aged in 53 gallon, number three char American oak barrels for at least four years. Seacrets American Whiskey is an American-style single malt whiskey made from 100% Maris Otter malted barley then aged for four years in new oak barrels.

In addition to the above three awards, SDC has been acknowledged with the following additional awards, including:
