Things to do in the Winter

Off-season activities and businesses open year-round in Ocean City, MD

Ocean City in the Off-Season

It may not be beach weather year-round, but you can still have a great time and enjoy Ocean City without the Summer crowds.  It’s a great time for a quiet getaway when you just need a change of scenery from being stuck in the house.  Stay at an ocean front hotel with an indoor pool, enjoy a nice meal of one of Ocean City’s restaurants, walk the beach & boardwalk, and catch the Festival of Lights in December.   Check our recommended hotels for off-season stays.

What’s Open Year-Round in Ocean City?

Most of the lodging options and all of the larger hotels remain fully open year round.

Many of the restaurants remain open year round, but not all of them so it’s always best to call ahead.

Most of the businesses along the boardwalk are closed in the Winter, but you can still enjoy a great walk along the boardwalk.  The boardwalk is also dog friendly after Labor Day.
